We have announced a contest where the winner will receive a custom painted digital character portrait by industry expert John Gravato, whose beautiful art was featured in the recently released Dark Legacies Campaign Guide. Details can be found on the forums.
Red Spire Press is looking for publishers (both print and PDF) to support its Dark Legacies product with supplements and adventures. Dark Legacies is a unique and exciting d20 dark fantasy campaign setting and low-magic ruleset. The Dark Legacies Player's Guide is currently available and the Campaign Guide, which completes the core rules, is out this August.
We are now accepting proposals, which should contain the following information:
Background on your company and existing products.
A sample product.
A 2 to 5 page synopsis of the product concept, including themes, plot, new rules, and "why it's cool."
Suggested MSRP, page count, and release date.
Selected companies will receive a pre-release copy of the Dark Legacies Campaign Guide and a limited per-product license, as follows:
The supplement may be sold for two years, with extensions given at Red Spire Press's option.
Red Spire Press receives a royalty equal to 10% of MSRP for all PDF products and 5% of MSRP for all print products.
You may use the logo, trade dress, and product identity from both the Player's Guide and Campaign Guide in your product, but all closed material must remain closed.
Red Spire Press has final approval over the product before it is released for sale.
An official contract will be signed by the involved parties on acceptance. Proposals should be sent to the email address on our contact page.

Red Spire Press needs playtesters for the Dark Legacies Campaign Guide!
Red Spire Press is opening up the Dark Legacies Campaign Guide for external playtesting. The Campaign Guide contains expanded rules for Dark Legacies, including prestige classes, items of power, and monsters. We are looking for mature, experienced gamers who already own the Dark Legacies Player's Guide or playtested it, and who are very familiar with the d20 core rules. Each participating member will be acknowledged with playtester credits in the Campaign Guide and will receive a shiny new copy of their very own on release.
We're looking for a diverse set of gaming groups, but those with the following characteristics will get first pickings:
Groups with prior playtest experience.
Groups aged 21 and older.
Groups that can devote 10+ hours per week to playtesting (16+ preferred).
Groups that communicate effectively and promptly.
Each participant must comply with and sign non-disclosure agreements. All product details remain private and confidential until the book is released. However, a dedicated playtest forum has been set up on the Red Spire Press site so that playtesters can share their feedback with us and with one another. Each group will be required to send regular weekly feedback by email.
Interested groups should
with the subject "Playtest Application" and as much detail as possible regarding their previous experience, and how they meet the above characteristics.
Playtesting is slated to commence mid to late November, and will last for approximately three months.
